Community Engaged Department Grants - Community Engaged Learning - Office of Undergraduate Studies

These funds (up to $10,000) provide support for faculty/staff/GA time to coordinate community engagement efforts at the departmental or college level. This may include buying out faculty teaching time, assigning a portion of GA work to coordination, or assigning staff time to support this work.

Eligibility - Preference given to departments/colleges with:

Plan to integrate CEL more deeply into the curriculum including core/required courses.
Supplemental/matching funding for the position with a plan/timeline to fully fund the position.

Requirements:

Share the impact of this CEL funding by submitting a short final report detailing departmental/college CEL work, outcomes, student learning, and community impact.
To deepen campus-wide CEL, departments/colleges may be asked to recommend faculty to CEL committees.
