CEL High Impact Work Grants

These funds (up to $5000) support high impact community work that may be in one section/course/semester or span across sections/courses/semesters. Work could be related to faculty community engaged research, community partner projects, or department level programming. Funding could also be used in one course with high enrollment and/or more involved community projects that require more than $1000 in funding. The project must be connected to applied work/research/teaching conducted in at least one CEL course and must have clear community partners and support.

Eligibility:

  • Must be connected to applied work/research/teaching conducted in at least one CEL designated course.
  • Must have clear community partners and support.
  • Preference given to projects that can demonstrate clear community impact.

 Requirements:

  • Promote CEL outcomes assessment surveys to both course students and community partners.
  • Share the impact of this CEL funding by submitting a short final report detailing departmental CEL work, outcomes, student learning, and community impact.
